Podere le Vigne
This is an old nineteenth-century stone building, set in an elevated and panoramic position on the southern side of the Chiani Valley, surrounded by the estate’s vineyards. It is reached by a cypress-lined driveway that branches off from the provincial road to Parrano (SP 52), 2.5 km from Fabro Scalo. Architecturally, it is notable for a unique facade with a portico of two arches and an upper gallery with three large windows.The farmhouse was reinforced some years ago, preserving the original internal and external structures and using period materials for consolidating or replacing deteriorated parts.
The first floor has recently been furnished for guests with an apartment consisting of three double bedrooms and one single room with private bathrooms, a kitchen-dining area, and a large living room with the old fireplace, extending to the gallery with three panoramic windows. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning and wifi internet.
An exclusive green area in front of the building is reserved for guests of the apartment, enclosing the garden with a gazebo and, on a lower terrace, the swimming pool and the surrounding solarium.
The apartment is completely independent from the wine cellar on the ground floor and from the buildings and spaces dedicated to wine production, which do not interfere with guests’ activities.
The ground floor of the farmhouse houses the tanks for winemaking, storage, and aging of the wines, and together with the buildings at the back, forms the company’s wine cellar complex.
The grape-growing and winemaking activities mainly take place from September to October, starting with the harvest in the last days of August; in other periods of the year, only occasional and quiet work is performed in the cellar during working hours.
Guests staying from early September to the end of October who are interested in observing the processes of harvesting, destemming, crushing the grapes, winemaking, and processing of the musts can watch them directly.
If desired, a small, fully accessible apartment with a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen-dining area, and living room, air conditioning, in a separate single-story building with a pergola, equipped and certified for people with disabilities, can be added to the hospitality contract.

Wine Tastings.Wine tastings of Murogrosso’s products are regularly held in the cellar by reservation.
